I wish I'd used my brother-in-laws reason - "I'm going to spend it on drugs and hookers". He then insisted they write the answer on the form!

@andersandersen6295 The biggest money launderers are the Hong-Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC have been fined numerous times) though most other banks do a lot as well. They say 'it puts liquidity in the system'!

When I lived in France, 25 years ago, I was surprised how much the French used 'chip & pin' instead of cash. Nowadays, the morons wave their strokey-phones even to buy a coffee. I haven't used my card for a year and a half - always cash now.

I pre-arranged to withdraw more than their £2,000 limit from my bank. They wanted to know why. They said if I wanted to pay for a car or home improvements, etc, then they would need to see a quote, invoice or receipt! I said I was unhappy with how difficult they make it for me to withdraw MY money, so I'd rather I looked after it than them. They phoned the bank HQ, who advised them to call the police. The police arrived, parking on the pavement with blue lights on. I was 'interrogated' at length by two police officers, who wanted to know all my details, what I was doing with the money, why I couldn't use cheques or transfers, after which they spoke to the bank manager and after 50 minutes in the bank, I got my cash. I now have a record on PNC for 'taking money out of a bank without good reason'!

@Irene-qe5hu Do you want to know how American banks launder drug cartel money through Ford Motor Company? Or using loans that never get repaid? Do your own research instead of decrying those who have!
