Lots of things COULD have happened. The police COULD have arrested the 1st guy WITHOUT grabbing his neck and smashing his head against the vending machine - and the whole violent incident would have been avoided! Equally, PC Thug COULD have held his temper and refrained from kicking that guy in the face and stamping on his head. He COULD have refrained from stamping on the leg and punching the other guy, who had his hands on his head and was kneeling on the floor as instructed!

@martynslinn6607 In my 10 years with the police, this is probably the most deserving case for dismissal and prosecution! If that had been a member of the public who kicked and stamped on that man, he would have been arrested and prosecuted. Why should the standards be lowered because he was wearing a police uniform?

@francisoakland9114 No, it is not acceptable to break someone's nose. I never said it was. The gender of that person is irrelevant. My point was that if PC Thug had arrested him the way police officers do every day, the violent confrontation would have been avoided.

The "violent, vicious thug" was the police officer! Having seen the videos, yes, there was a violent confrontation with the police officers. It began when the face-kicking, head-stamping officer grabs the man by the neck and slams his head against the vending machine. In response, the second man, possibly the brother of the first, attacks the offending officer. However, that man was lying prone on the floor. He had been immobilised by a Tazer. The offending officer was NOT being threatened, nor in any danger at all. At NO POINT did anyone go after the firearms! There can be NO justification for a police officer to kick anyone in the face and stamp on his head - EVER! PC Thug then goes on to stamp on and punch the other man, who has his hands behind his head and is kneeling on the floor as instructed! So many of the commenters below see the racial origins of the men as a justification for what happened. Some believe the events beforehand make it ok. Is that REALLY what we want from our police? If a member of the public had kicked and stamped on someone laying on the floor, he would have been immediately arrested and charged with assault. Why should the standards be lowered because he is wearing police uniform? Would they welcome the same behaviour by police officers against their own family or friends?
