As usual, focussed on the symptoms not the problem! Domestic gas prices in Russia have gone down twice this year. Because of a bumper crop, many food prices (especially wheat products) are falling. Because of sanctions, 8m tonnes of fertiliser, enough to grow food for 100m people, remain stuck at export terminals. If Nord Stream 2 had not been blocked by Germany, if Canadian sanctions had not blocked the return and repairs of turbines for Nord Stream 1, if EU and British companies had not cut themselves off from Russian energy, there would be no shortages - no price rises. The solution is MORE trade and cooperation with Russia. The sanctions only damage Western economies. Wait until Asian countries start buying up energy for the winter! Do you want to try to mitigate the symptoms or resolve the problem? Years of recession hang on your answer!
