  11. Why are they showing the GDP from 2023, then with a dropping forecast. Is the BBC trying to hide the growth in Russia's GDP with a forecast for it to increase more? The Russian Central Bank has kept the high interest rate to slow inflation - to put the brakes on runaway consumer spending. Unemployment is at a record low, wages have increased, Russians are able to save money and domestic demand is outstripping supply i.e. Russia's economy is booming, largely because of the sanctions, which have increased Russia's self dependence. Unlike the EU and British economies which are collapsing. The majority of the Russian Government's spending is on infrastructure - building new factories, machine building, roads and rail networks - unrelated to the military operation. Boris Johnson claimed the UK no longer buys Russian petroleum products. We buy Russian diesel through Belgium and the stats show country of supply not origin! The usual BBC bullsh*t propaganda!

  19. They are not Shahed 136 drones, they are Geran-2s, Russian made, developed from the Iranian design, but with a different guidance system. Russia targets the energy infrastructure to disrupt the workshops that manufacture and repair military equipment. Also to disrupt the trains transporting equipment, ammunition and troops to the frontline - e.g. from Poland!

  21. Of the 2,500 metres of runway (normally 2,800m), the pilot overflew most of it allowing only 1,200m after touchdown. The mud embankment was 250m beyond the end of the thresh-hold. Why didn't the pilot continue with the original final approach, travelling in the opposite direction, with the landing gear already down?

Zelensky has proven that he is capable of accelerating the demilitarisation of Ukraine by 20%, losing more than 11,220 UA troops plus 827 armoured vehicles in the Kursk area alone! Combined with the more than 60,000 troops the UA is losing each month in the SMO, 16,215 this week, 'it should all be over by Xmas'! The only Russian soil UA troops will be taking is what is on the soles of their boots - in their body-bags!

  27. A mere 1,800+ UA troops were added to the demilitarised scoreboard today - compared to the 2,300+ yesterday and 2,000+ the day before. Still, that's over 6,000 troops in 3 days, which will equate to 10% of the UA within a month! Kiev can't last until the end of the year!

On 16th Feb, the OSCE recorded more than 40 ceasefire breaches, as the UA began shelling Donbas, rising to more than 2,000 a day on 20th, 21st and 22nd. On 24th February '22, Russia stepped in to stop it. Do these facts count as "delusional"?

  38. I guess you missed the press conference the next day, when Russia showed the radar tracking of a plane approaching MH17 before it crashed! Or the report by BBC's reporter Olga Ivshiner, who interviewed 5 independent witnesses who saw a Ukrainian Airforce jet climb towards MH17, moments before it fell from the sky! Or the report about the jet returning to its airbase without its missiles. The pilot was heard to say 'it was the wrong plane'!

  39. Everyone seems to forget that the West installed a right-wing Government in Ukraine in 2014. They have since been ethnic cleansing the people in the Donbas, which was why they became separatist. 8 years on, the Ukraine Army is still killing Eastern Ukrainians. Putin refused to accept the applications by Donetsk and Luhansk to join the Russian Federation in 2014. Perhaps the only way Russia can protect the ethnic Russians in the Donbas is by recognising the regions as independent.

Excessive air-speed - pilot error. Landing too far down runway - pilot error Yet many of the commenters below choose to blame the design of the airport! It hit the mudbank not the concrete wall, - the other side of which is the road!

  42.  @Obiamajoyisrmd  Was the landing gear down during the initial 'final approach'? With only 3 minutes between the bird strike and touchdown, did lowering the landing gear get overlooked? Did the pilot shut down the wrong engine, so was having to glide in? With no engine braking available. If both engines were shut down, there would be insufficient time to power-up the APU for the hydraulics ( for flaps, landing gear). Landing so fast and so far down the runway left only 1,200 meters of runway. Yet YOU see no pilot error!

Russia, on the other hand, built extensive defences, which absorbed the UA 'counter-offensive', and cost the UA thousands of troops! Putin stated (on 24th Feb '22) that the Special Military Operation was NOT about territorial gain nor regime change. The Russian Army isolated Kiev in 2022, to prevent reinforcements being sent to the east. I guess your brain has been on holiday!
