  1. A small info correction: The 'pipeline' is not from Saudi Arabia. Qatar sits on the world's largest gas field, as does Iran. The Saudis won't allow the pipeline through their country, so it can only go through Syria to Turkey so that Turkey can supply gas to Europe and cut out the current supply from Russia. Two of the primary objectives are to damage the Russian economy. Also to deplete the gas revenues available to Iran.
