Even the Kiev Independent, last week, published the independently researched and verified report by the BBC and Mediazona, showing Russian losses over the last year at 16,079 (one tenth of those claimed by the Ukrainian MOD!). Politico now quotes UA losses in excess of 100,000 dead! Michael Kofman from the CNA disclosed that virtually all the troops NATO trained over the last 9 years have all gone and the UA is dependent on newly trained conscripts.

In Kupyansk direction, artillery of the 'Zapad' Group of Forces engaged the enemy units close to Dvurechnaya, Sinkovka, Olshana, and Kotlyarovka (Kharkov region). More than 50 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, two motor vehicles, and one 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer were neutralised. Moreover, an ammunition depot of the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade was neutralised close to Kislovka. In Donetsk direction, units of the 'Yug' Group of Forces, aviation, and artillery and heavy flamethrower systems have annihilated over 300 Ukrainian troops, three armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, one Akatsiya self-propelled artillery gun, and D-20 howitzer during the day.
