  2. One of the largest holes in Spaniel's diatribe is Crimea's full name - The Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Crimea was separate to Ukraine, even in 2013. It had its own Parliament and Prime Minister. This was WHY, when the US orchestrated the overthrow of the elected Government in Kiev and installed a puppet right-wing regime, enforced by brutal, neo-Nazi nationalists, the people requested military protection by Russia, whilst they held a referendum about joining the Russian Federation. Crimeans will not want to be under Kiev rule nor occupation. Kiev has opened a can of worms they may regret. The bridge was neither in Ukraine nor a military target, precisely the reasons the US refused to give Kiev longer range missiles. They have now invited retaliation, perhaps against bridges in Kiev. Russia's response is likely to be 'firm'!
