  1. Maybe the West has realised what a stupid escalation that would be! If an F16 appears in the skies over Ukraine, whether it fires weapons or is just reconnaissance, it is a military target. If the pilot is Polish or American, that is direct NATO involvement! If that plane takes off or lands outside Ukraine, that airbase becomes a military target, as does any plane that takes off from there. If a nuclear-capable plane flies within striking distance of the US, it would be shot down. Russia is no different!

  2. There isn't a threat to Europe anyway - Putin wouldn't dirty his shoes! Once the ethnic-Russians of eastern and southern Ukraine are safe, Kiev will be offered a peace-deal - behind a demilitarised zone!
