What's Going on With Shipping?

There are a lot of facts that have been omitted here.30+ ships were 'held hostage' by Ukraine in its ports in the early months of the conflict, to prevent Russian attacks. The 'grain corridor' was a passage that Russian ships had cleared of Ukrainian mines, through which Russia offered safe passage. That 'grain deal' was cancelled as sanctions and shipping insurance restrictions were not lifted against Russia- bound cargo ships, preventing Russia's export of grain. Many drone attacks towards Crimea and Sevastopol have been launched from commercial ships travelling to and from Ukrainian ports. Commercial ships have been used to transport weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, in contravention of agreements. Why would a Russian bomber target that particular ship?

You don't get all these problems with petrol or diesel cars. It just highlights the many benefits of EVs for the environment!

There were many claims of 'stolen' Ukrainian grain. Many Ukrainian farmers sold their crops to Russian companies because Ukrainian transport companies refused to collect it from their farms. Lorries transporting grain east were claimed to contain 'stolen grain'.

@nellyjohnson7316 That ship was carrying a cargo from Moldova and whilst under Turkish ownership had never visited Ukrainian ports nor carried any cargo from Russian occupied territory. Ukrainian pirates in UA uniforms!
