During the American occupation, cultivation was restarted and production increased to 700 tons per year. Shipped out by the CIA in planes hired from the US Forestry Service, they now control 70% of the World heroin trade! Secondly, a gas pipeline was built by Haliburton, through Helmand Province (during a war!) from the Caspian Sea to the Gulf, to compete with Russia for the Asian market! The war had nothing to do with finding Osama Bin Laden in a cave. They eventually found him (several years after his reported death from liver failure) in his house. So they buried him at sea on the way home!
