The Ukrainian Army has proven its ability. Its ability to invade into Russian territory, using forest tracks instead of main routes to avoid contact, in an area not defended by combat troops, only border guards and territorial defence units.
Zelensky has proven that he is capable of accelerating the demilitarisation of Ukraine by 20%, losing more than 8,500 UA troops plus 723 armoured vehicles in the Kursk area alone!
Combined with the more than 60,000 troops the UA is losing each month in the SMO, 16,910 last week, (plus another 2,025 Saturday and 2,036 were added yesterday!) 'it should all be over by Xmas'!

@richardschipper5989 Firstly, the UA doesn't 'control' that area - they are scattered across it, mainly on forest tracks and potato fields. Because they avoided main routes and settlements, it has made it easier for Russia to target them minimising collateral damage.
If, like me, you followed the daily briefings for military commanders at the Kremlin, you would have seen the scoreboards rising each day, accompanied in many cases by the aerial footage.
Here's today's report:
Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the AFU losses amounted to more than 8,900 troops, 80 tanks, 38 infantry fighting vehicles, 70 armoured personnel carriers, 549 armoured fighting vehicles, 261 motor vehicles, 65 artillery guns, 19 multiple-launch rocket system launchers, including six of HIMARS system and two of MLRS system, seven SAM launchers, two transport-loading vehicles, 14 electronic warfare stations, seven counter-battery radars, one air defence radar, six engineering vehicles, including two counter-obstacle vehicles and one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle.
