Zelensky was elected claiming he would end the conflict in Donbas. When he sent a 40,000 strong task force to 'take back Donbas, in February 2022, and the OSCE recorded more than 40 ceasefire breaches on the 16th Feb, rising to more than 2,000 a day on the 20th, 21st and 22nd, Russia stepped in to stop it!

This week, another 11,140 UA troops were added to the demilitarised scoreboard! Over the past week, 27 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered.

@UkrainianPunk180 Exactly! So they wouldn't be sent to the east if Kiev was under attack now would they? As it happened, Russia also had troops on landing ships in the Black Sea, so after Russia withdrew her troops from Kiev, the UA reinforcements were sent to Odessa instead!

@IgorMychalczyszyn-xf4km Putin stated (on 24/02/22) the SMO was to protect the people of Donbas, NOT territorial gain nor regime change. Troops attacked Kiev from Belarus not Russia. Troops from Russia went to Donbas. The people in eastern Ukraine, as in Crimea, are ethnic-Russians not Ukrainians.
