  1. It's all 'smoke and mirrors', and will do nothing to stop knife crime! Years ago they banned 'curved blade (replica) samurai swords - so the manufacturers made swords with straight blades instead. When has a 'zombie knife' ever been used in an attack? The fact is the most common knife used in crime is a 'black-handled kitchen knife'. Also the PR displays of 'knives seized by the police' have been handed in during a 'knife amnesty' not seized. Many of them are ones deposited in the bins by charity shops trying to dispose of donations 'responsibly'.

  2. Years ago, I walked past two police officers, with a double-edged 'commando dagger' in a sheath in the armpit of my body-warmer, clearly visible. But, I worked on harbour control and the knife was a tool, used almost daily.
