The majority of EVs are 'company cars', bought because of all the incentives and tax-breaks offered by the Government. Most are charged on company premises at the company's expense. Those cars are largely driven by senior company personnel, who not only get numerous other company 'expenses' but will often also be able to claim a number of home expenses/costs against their tax bills. They will likely live in larger homes with 'off road' parking, where they can have a home charger. The pothole situation has got worse because most councils now farm out the repairs to contractors instead of their own works department. Contractors frequently make sub-standard repairs, knowing they'll be coming back to repair the same hole within a couple of years. They are milking the councils!
