  25. Ukraine has used Storm Shadow missiles against civilian targets in Luhansk. A Challenger 2 tank fought against a plastic Russian drone in Kursk. Unfortunately, the drone was destroyed! 37. "not doing very well" - let's examine that claim: In the 16 days since Kiev's surprise incursion into Kursk, defended only by border guards and territorial defence units, NOT combat troops, Russian troops have added 4,400 UA troops and 461 armoured vehicles to the demilitarised scoreboard - just in the Kursk area alone. Added to the 2,060 troops 'demilitarised' across the whole SMO yesterday, where there ARE combat troops, The Russian Army seems to be doing very well indeed! It is the Ukraine Army that is "not doing very well"! 75.  @honved1  Read it and weep! Russian Defence Ministry report on the progress of the special military operation (8 July 2024) This morning, in response to the Kiev regime's attempts to damage objects of Russian power infrastructure and economy, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a group strike by long-range precision weaponry at objects of the Ukrainian military-industrial infrastructure and AFU aviation bases. The goal of the strike has been achieved. All the assigned targets have been engaged. Statements of the Kiev regime about the allegedly deliberate missile strike launched against civilian facilities by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are false. Numerous published photos and footage from Kiev clearly confirm that the destruction was caused by a Ukrainian air defence missile launched by an anti-aircraft missile system in the city. We note in particular that similar hysterics by the Kiev regime happen for years and every time on the eve of another meeting (summit) of its patrons from the NATO. The goal of such provocations is to ensure further funding for the Kiev regime and the continuation of the war to the last Ukrainian. The Sever Group of Forces has hit manpower and hardware of the 115th Mechanised Brigade, 106th and 116th territorial defence brigades near Vesyolovka, Basovka, and Konstantinovka (Sumy region). Three counter-attacks launched by assault detachments of the AFU 92nd Assault Brigade were repelled over the past 24 hours. The AFU losses amounted to up to 260 Ukrainian troops, four motor vehicles, and one 152-mm 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system. The Zapad Group of Forces has taken more advantageous lines and inflicted fire damage on the units of the 103rd Territorial Defence Brigade and the 1st National Guard Brigade close to Stelmakhovka and Artyomovka (Lugansk People's Republic). The AFU losses amounted to more than 495 Ukrainian troops, one tank, four armoured fighting vehicles, 14 motor vehicles, and one U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station. In addition, three ammunition depots were destroyed. The Yug Group of Forces has improved the situation along the front line and hit manpower and hardware of the AFU 72nd Mechanised and 80th Air Assault brigades near Konstantinovka and Belogorovka (Donetsk People's Republic). The enemy lost over 570 Ukrainian troops and nine motor vehicles. In counter-battery warfare, three U.S.-made M198 155-mm howitzers, three 152-mm D-20 guns, one 122-mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, one 105-mm M119 howitzer, and one U.S. AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar station. The Tsentr Group of Forces has improved the tactical situation and inflicted fire damage on the 47th and 110th mechanised brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 109th Territorial Defence Brigade near Rozovka, Novgorodskoye, and Novosyolovka Pervaya (Donetsk People's Republic). Five counter-attacks of the AFU 31st Mechanised, 95th Air Assault brigades were repelled. The enemy losses amounted to over 385 Ukrainian troops, one U.S.-made M1A1 Abrams tank, three motor vehicles, one 122-mm D-30 howitzer, and one U.S.-made 105-mm M119 howitzer. The Vostok Group of Forces has captured more advantageous lines and inflicted fire damage on manpower and hardware of the 72nd Mechanised, 58th Motorised Infantry brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Vodyanoye and Prechistovka (Donetsk People's Republic). In addition, one attack by assault groups of the AFU 123rd Territorial Defence Brigade was repelled. The AFU losses amounted to up to 140 Ukrainian troops, one armoured fighting vehicle, eight motor vehicles, one UK-made 155-mm FN-70 howitzer, and one 152-mm D-20 gun. One electronic warfare station was destroyed. The Dnepr Group of Forces has engaged the manpower and hardware of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Nesteryanka (Zaporozhye region). The AFU losses amounted to up to 90 Ukrainian troops, five motor vehicles, one 155-mm UK-made FN-70 howitzer, and two 152-mm D-20 howitzers. Operational-Tactical Aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, and Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Groups of Forces have neutralised three U.S.-made HIMARS MLRS launchers, up to 10 foreign specialists who maintained the systems, as well as hit clusters of AFU manpower and military hardware in 122 areas during the day. Air defence systems shot down four French-made Hammer guided aerial bombs, five U.S.-made HIMARS projectiles, and 30 unmanned aerial vehicles during the day.

  106. Yet the commanders of UA units in Donetsk say the Russians have increased attacks and are making more advances! Note that there's no mention the UA began this attack by bombing civilian housing, schools and even an ambulance. No mention of the 24 UA troops who surrendered yesterday. The UA advance into Kursk was against border guards and territorial defence units, (where they captured 102 border guards), NOT combat troops and by using forest tracks instead of main routes, to avoid fighting Russian troops, so that it shows they're in a larger area on the map. Yet still they managed to lose more than 3,000 troops in 11 days! No mention of the nuclear consequences if the UA attack on the Kursk Nuclear Power-station had caused more than a fire in one of the cooling towers. Reality check - note this is in addition to the 2,010 UA troops added to the demilitarised scoreboard in the SMO yesterday: Russian Defence Ministry report on repelling an invasion attempt of the AFU on the territory of the Russian Federation (17 August 2024) The units of the Sever Group of Forces supported by Army Aviation and artillery actively conduct actions to search for and destroy in wooded areas mobile enemy groups that were trying to break through deep into the territory of the Russian Federation in the direction of Alekseyevsky and Kauchuk. Attacks launched by assault detachments of 22nd, 115th mechanised and 95th assault brigades supported by armoured vehicles have been repelled in the direction of Korenevo, Russkoye, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye. Aviation, artillery, and defending troops have routed the enemy. As a result of these unsuccessful actions, the AFU lost one tank and 11 armoured fighting vehicles. Clusters of AFU manpower and hardware of 22nd, 61st, 115th mechanised and 82nd air assault brigades have been hit near Novaya Sorochina, Lyubimovka, south-east of Korenevo, Leonidovo, and Kositsa. One Iris-T SAM system launcher and one TRML-4D multi-role radar station have been destroyed by missile strikes close to Sennoye (Sumy region). Operational-Tactical Aviation hit reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition and fuel depots close to Kiyanitsa, Kositsa, Khoten, and Boyaro-Lezhachi (Sumy region). The AFU losses were up to 300 Ukrainian troops, 31 armoured vehicles, including three tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armoured personnel carriers, 25 armoured fighting vehicles as well as eight motor vehicles, one Iris-T SAM system, one field artillery gun, and one electronic warfare station. Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the enemy lost up to 3,160 Ukrainian troops, 44 tanks, 43 armoured personnel carriers, 26 infantry fighting vehicles, 244 armoured fighting vehicles, 111 motor vehicles, five SAM launchers, six multiple-launch rocket system launchers, including three HIMARS MLRSs, 24 field artillery guns, and four electronic warfare stations. The operation to neutralise the AFU units is in progress.
