  2. Cast your mind back to 24th Feb 2022. Putin stated one of the objectives of the SMO was the demilitarisation of Ukraine NOT territorial gain. No need to travel forward when the UA throws itself against the Russian wall!

  3. Kiev's venture into Kursk has been a real windfall bonus for Russia! The UA has come out from behind their fortified defensive trenches. Their tactics have been to scatter along forest tracks to avoid contact with Russian troops, so as to appear they cover a larger area on the map. It's a PR stunt to get more money from the West. This makes it easier to destroy them as they are mainly away from built up areas.
