  1. Geoff used a key phrase there - 'zero emissions at the exhaust'. The legislation that the Govt has put in place, for cars and vans (and possibly large motorcycles) by 2035 and for smaller bikes by 2030, mandates 'zero exhaust emissions'. So, even if an engine produces rose-scented pure oxygen, or filtered water, it would not comply with ZERO emissions. The legislation allows electric vehicles ONLY (which can be controlled by the Government - where you go, how often - they can even be switched off!)!" ALL internal combustion engines - petrol, diesel, even hydrogen - are banned! And the fines against the vehicle manufactures are such that they must comply - or go bankrupt! The ONLY way to avoid this now, is to get rid of the current Government, prevent an even worse Labour Govt, and get a sensible govt to scrap the legislation, which starts this year!

  2. I watched a report a few months ago, from the US. Farm owners were highlighting that where adjacent land had been cleared of trees and shrubs to set up large solar farms, it caused erosion of the soil, choking streams and rivers, because there were no longer roots and vegetation to protect the soil. Also the expanse of concrete bases for the panels caused increased run-off, into the streams and flooding the farmland around the solar-farms. The 'carbon footprint' to make all that concrete plus to make the panels, as with wind farms, far exceeds any carbon savings by using their 'green energy'. Only the land owners benefit from the money they get paid. Ask David Cameron's father-in-law. He got £120,000 for having a wind-farm installed on a piece of otherwise 'useless' bog-land!

  3. Do NATO think that Russia will be any less unhappy about Finland, on her northern border, joining NATO!!! Since neither the letters Z nor V are in the Russian alphabet, they are clearly not letters, they are shapes. Germany also needs to ban the letter N, which is a Z laying down after a busy day!

  4. Why does the transcript say it was 'on the 21st', when the plane crash was on the 25th? The plane was not shot down! It was damaged. If an EV collided with another car and ended up in a river, then the electric doors failed to open and the occupants drowned - were they killed by the car crash or by the failure of the doors? That plane flew for two hours with the damaged tail. The pilots were able to lower the landing gear using the mechanical back-up. If the hydraulic system with mechanical back-up had not been replaced with a fly-by-wire only system, the plane would have landed on the runway! What caused the plane to crash?

  7. In January 2022, Zelensky signed the order to assemble a 40,000 strong task force to 'take back Donbas'. On 16th Feb '22, the OSCE recorded more than 40 ceasefire breaches, as the UA began shelling the Donbas, rising to more than 2,000 a day on the 20th, 21st and 22nd. On 24th Feb, as requested under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Russia stepped in to stop it!

  9. My energy company was one of many that went bust in DECEMBER, because of the rapidly rising gas prices - caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine? Russia has only cut off countries which refused to pay via Gazprom Bank. Others have cut themselves off. Canadian sanctions block the return of the gas turbine to Russia and repair and maintenance of the others. Blame Trudeau not Putin! Now imagine if they cancelled the sanctions, give Russia her money back and started trading with Russia as before. How many problems would disappear? No energy shortage, fertiliser available for agriculture, no food shortage and prices go down! Ukraine is going to lose anyway. US hegemony is disappearing - can't stop that. The Dollar may even collapse. It will certainly not remain as the World currency. Politicians will lose face - their losing face now!

  10. Over the years, I have damaged the spoiler of my Avenger on a fox at 70mph, defeathered a pheasant with a Saab 900, dismembered a crow which flew into the front wheel of my Honda CX500 and converted a few hedgehogs into frisbees! I didn't stop to collect any of them!
