  3. #6 Thank you for opening my mind. I always thought that we need friends to be happy. Those were my younger days with my husband. I turned 70 and cared for my mother who's 85. Yes, you're 💯 right. I do have friends at church and my Zumba class, but I feel as if it's a chore to mingle with them. I'm happy being alone and being with my mom. I only had one best friend, my deceased husband. After he passed, I didn't have any friends, only my family. My daughters told me to go to the gym and make friends. I did! But it seemed as if I was forcing myself to get up in the morning to go to the gym to make friends. Yes, I am a shy person and making a fake conversation is not my favorite. I feel good about myself and caring for my 85 year old mother. I do have my daughters and grandkids, that's all I need in my life. ❤
