It's worth bearing in mind Molybdenum diSulphide is actually solid and it's suspended in various fluids in all these additives. The particle size is 1 - 5 micron and whilst it has an incredibly low friction co-efficient the two main problems with the material are the wear it can cause too softer materials (such as steel) and finding a medium which ensures it stays on the surface of what actually needs lubricating. I worked in a factory that made it many years ago and we had great fun throwing a handful of it on the ground and seeing the various skids and doughnuts a forklift truck could do.

I don't know if it was ever sold in the US but in Britain we had an oil additive called Molyslip - named I suppose because it contained suspended molybdenum disulphide powder (I think it was 2000 grit.) Dunno if it really worked but the idea behind it seemed pretty sound as MoS2 has some pretty remarkable properties in the powder form. I worked at a factory where it was manufactured and ground to a powder - a teaspoonful spilt would flow to cover the entire floor of the place - which was quite hazardous as it was impossible to walk on the stuff without sliding.

I tend to change cars more frequently than I change oil. The current one's on 140,000 miles.

Ive got an older Bosch model and it works much better if you touch the wall with your other hand when searching for wiring or studs. No idea why.

I’m trying to work out what use you could have for an electric screwdriver that can’t even fix a drywall screw.

I find it quite worrying that we don't make basics like batteries in the west these days.
