  6. How this is ridiculous is that Britain is an island - if Germany looked like conquering France British troops would simply be withdrawn back to that island - as at Dunkirk some years later. Possibly Britain and Germany would agree peace at some point but Germany would never have the capability to force Britain to surrender.
