  4. China obviously could compete on IC vehicles but why would they? While German manufacturers focus on 3.5 litre, 2000kg or 100mph cars displaying their supposed engineering prowess the Chinese are focusing on what people will be buying within the next few years. Just as the British car industry died so too will the German one - and for remarkably similar reasons.
