AMERICAS MOST WANTED ran an episode about Laci's disappearance. This is some information that came in four days after Steven Todd and Glenn Pearce were arrested.
An anonymous call came into their hotline. It is referred to as the AMW tip.
The caller said he had a conversation with two men who were bragging about Laci’s murder. The second man was unnamed, but the tipster gave a description and knew where the second individual lived.
It was reported that the first man said “when they did it they thought it was going to be just another murder case . . . now it’s a big case all over TV and news . . . and they are blaming the husband and they are not getting any attention.” went on to say how stupid everyone was.
The caller went on to say that he knew where the first man lived with his mother; his mother has the same last name. The last name is worth mentioning because four days earlier, the Modesto Police had encountered the Mother. She was present at her neighbor’s home when police came looking for the Medina’s stolen property. There was a strong connection between the Doe family and burglar Steven Todd. Certainly, this would merit follow-up, especially since the AMW operator stated this caller was 100% sure.
Unfortunately, the extent of their follow up was this:
This tip was given to a Modesto police officer, the same officer that encountered the mother four days earlier. This officer drove to the sons house, which was one block away from where he had encountered the mother, four days earlier. The son was standing outside. The officer confirmed his identity and asked where he was on December 24th.
He said he was “locked up.” The officer called the jail and a deputy confirmed that John Doe had been in jail on the 24th, so the officer did not ask any other questions.
The tip did not say he had murdered Laci, the tip just said “they did it.” It is not clear at all who “they” are. However, the officer asked no more questions. The officer never asked why it would be reported that he was bragging about the murder of Laci Peterson; whether he knew anything about Laci’s whereabouts; or about his mother’s connection to the Medina burglary.
It was recently verified the first man WAS NOT IN JAIL during December of 2002. The deputy that had confirmed he was in jail had used an intake document that only estimates an inmate’s jail stay, it was not updated once he was released.
The MPD screwed up big time.

He dyed his hair to avoid the media. No he was not fleeing.
There was constant traffic driving by their home, media was camped out there, their home had been stripped of many items during the search warrants (none of which had any evidentiary value), radio DJs called out to him with bullhorns while airing their show live from in front of his house, his house had been broken into, and the volunteer center had shut down. So he was living essentially out his car and with family and friends in Southern California.
The defense played the wire tapped recording from police where Scott specifically told John his brother that it's best he didn't play golf because the media were following him, and he didn't want another picture of him in the papers.
You think he was fleeing to Mexico with his brothers ID in the bright red Mercedes without cashing his pay, checks, after filing his tax returns, with books for his neices and nephews in the car for the Easter Sunday the following week.
He was already living with family and friends in Southern California due to the media presence at his house.
His brothers ID gives him the green fee discount just like his father confirmed.
Police were already aware that Scott was in southern California, and there is no testimony that he ever attempted to run off to Mexico.
His father had planned for the four of them to get together that day to play golf. There was no attempt to evade police. Officers Quick and Limon testified that as soon as they put up their sirens, He immediately pulled over. Since when is getting pulled over at Torrey Pines in San Diego equate to fleeing to Mexico?

He was returning a book to Amber. On the passenger seat of the car, was the mailing address to her office. And the book, The Purpose Driven Life , that Amber had sent him. She had requested, he was going to mail back her. He was already at her workplace, he didn't need a map or directions for that.
GERAGOS: Okay. Now this letter from Amber, did you -- were you aware of this that Amber told you about this letter prior to you recovering it from the car?

GERAGOS: Okay. Now, you also talked about Amber or you were asked questions about Amber. You had advised her to have no further phone contact, is that correct, with Scott Peterson?
BUEHLER: I suggested it.
GERAGOS: Okay. And she said that she was going to do that; isn't that correct?
BUEHLER: Yes.
GERAGOS: Okay. And when did you tell her that?
BUEHLER: Oh, it was on or about the 16th, 17th, 18th of February.
GERAGOS: On or about the same day she sent that book with that note?
BUEHLER: If -- I don't know what date for sure she sent that book. I know what day was on the card she included with it.
GERAGOS: Okay. And you advised her that from a police standpoint you couldn't be certain that all of the calls were documented or being reported to you, correct?
BUEHLER: I don't remember telling her that.

Scott was still making a car payment on the truck that was in police custody and now had to make a payment on the Dodge. He soon realized this was not ideal, so Scott arranged to sell the Dodge to his brother John. Scott's mom, Jackie, was going to loan John $8,000 to buy Scott out of the Dodge. John was then going to take over the payments to the bank. Scott was then going to buy a cheaper car for cash and eliminate having a second car payment.
On April 8, 2003, Jackie went to Bank of America to withdraw $10,000 from an old account she rarely used. She did not know her account number, so she gave them her social security number to look it up. Unbeknownst to Jackie, she was listed on Scott and Laci's checking account as well. (Jackie had opened that account with Scott in 1991. Scott added Laci when they were married and never removed his mother.) The bank gave Jackie $10,000 from Scott's checking account. The withdrawal receipt was entered as Exhibit D8Y1.
Jackie paid Scott $8000 cash for his equity in the Dodge pickup. She paid him cash so he could better negotiate while shopping for a car.
On April 12, 2003, Scott purchased a Mercedes from Michael Griffin. He paid him with 36 $100 bills. Scott had $4400 left of the $8000 his mother had given him.
Scott then discovers the $10,000 withdrawal from his bank account. He sees the withdrawal ticket signed by his mom and calls her. Jackie realizes she mistakenly withdrew the money out of Scott’s account.
Jackie then goes to Washington Mutual on April 17th and withdraws $10,000 cash out of her account. She gives the money to Scott that day to replace the money she took out of his account. She paid him in cash so that the bank would not put a hold on the funds. Scott now has roughly $14,400 in cash.
Scott is arrested on the morning of April 18th. He had yet to deposit the money his mother had given him the day before.
Scott also had some "foreign currency" with him when he was arrested. The 2 bills were photographed with other items and entered as People's Exhibit 293-29. One bill is worth 50 pesos and the other is worth 20 pesos. This is roughly worth $6.40 US. This is not an unreasonable amount of pocket change for someone who had recently returned from Mexico.

All forensic testing came back negative for biological evidence of a dead body in any alleged crime scene? They even tested the water in the boat, negative results.
Conner (baby) was determined to be alive until Jan 3rd by both the States expert and the Medical examiner? He confirmed the measurements in another interview with Fox News, and expressed his disbelief that the twine accidentally wrapped around Conner's neck. He also conjectured about the baby being in a bag.
Laci's uterus was at least 10 cm (3.9") smaller than it should have been? Certainly explains why the incision to remove Conner was not visible on her body, and the injured 9th rib, postmortem injury is in the same location where such an incision would have been made.
Police ignored evidence, tips and sightings that point in a completely different direction.
Isn't it standard police practice to track down a missing person's last known whereabouts? It's not like they didn't have credible eyewitnesses that seen her walking on the 24th. Some called multiple times. Police ignored them. Sounds like tunnel vision and incompetence led to her death since the science proves she was alive after that day.

He told dozens of people he was fishing, including police. At around 6:11 pm, the first officer, Sergeant Evers, arrived on the scene after Laci was reported missing. When he asked Scott where he was that day, Scott immediately told him that he had been fishing that day in the bay. Scott also gave Sgt. Evers his receipt from the Berkeley Marina parking lot to show that he'd been at marina that day. Cell phone records and transactions confirm where he was.
-A timed receipt from the Berkeley Marina, for the time he said he was there. Three eye-witnesses that place him there when he said he was there--a gardener, and two fishermen. Cell phone records for multiple calls made from points near the Berkeley Marina, beginning at the time he said he left the Marina, and tracking him homeward.
"Harvey testified that he told his wife and multiple others that Scott told him that he'd gone golfing on December 24th . However, no one testified that Harvey had told them that. Harvey did not tell the police until June of 2003 that Scott told him that he'd been golfing, despite the fact that Harvey knew his wife had been told by Scott that he was fishing and the police were publicly trying to corroborate Scott's alibi for December 24th . Harvey Kemple also testified that he saw Scott lose his temper once and slam the lid to their barbeque. Scott and Laci's barbeque didn't have a lid. And finally, Harvey testified that he was told that Scott had been hanging out at the Del Rio Country Club while Laci was missing. When asked who told him that, he identified Dennis Tobin and a Country Club employee named Stephanie. Detective Grogan testified that when they followed up on Harvey's claims, they found that Dennis Tobin never saw Scott at the club while Laci was missing and there was no employee named Stephanie. So with Harvey Kemple's credibility in question, that leaves two people testifying to one instance of Scott saying that he had been golfing on December 24th . (Unlike Harvey, Amie Krigbaum did tell police in late December that Scott said he had been golfing that day. It is unclear when Terra Venable first told the police that she heard Scott say he'd been golfing.)"

"Hi, beautiful. I just left you a message at home. 2:15. I'm leaving Berkeley. I won't be able to get to Vella Farms to get the basket for Poppa. I was hoping you would get this message and go on out there. I'll see you in a bit, sweety. I love you. Bye."
Did he intentionally lie to one person when cell phone records for multiple calls made from points near the Berkeley Marina, three eye-witnesses, A timed receipt from Berkeley, etc. A recorded message, says otherwise. So one minute he's a genius and commits the perfect murder without leaving a shred of physical evidence anywhere, nobody sees or hears him committing this crime, but you believe he was leading people to think he was golfing.

NO EVIDENCE OF FIVE ANCHORS.
Detective Brocchini lied.
The alleged distinctive circles that Brocchini said were on the trailer resembled rectangular shapes from cement bags from work he did at house in September. The pitcher the prosecution alleged Scott made the anchors in didn't even fit.

The States expert didnt know the difference between a sub base and the actual concrete. How could he, since he didn't even go to the scene, Gebler however did.
I highly doubt a 153 lb pregnant woman wrapped in a tarp wouldn't be spotted in all those searches. C'mon... they couldn't find a single alleged anchor because Brocchini made it up. The "distinctive circles" that Brocchini said were on the trailer resembled rectangular shapes from cement bags from work he did at house in September. The pitcher the prosecution alleged Scott made the anchors in didn't even fit.
Brocchini was destroyed on the stand for many of his lies. That was one of them

The area of the bay was extremely shallow. How did the uterus 'tear' open over time? If so, why was there no animal feeding or any sign Conner was ever in the bay? Should we really believe Conner would make it through the rocks and so far up on to shore. The supposed track was a hazardous journey. Yet the only damage (a 'tear') was supposed to have been made by the police trying to pick it up.
The cut or tear in the uterus makes 'coffin birth' impossible. The only ways in which a baby can be released from the mother is by birth or by C-section. Since testimony was offered that Laci didn't give birth to Conner, then we must assume that someone cut him from her living body.

And he was beyond the debris line, which means that he was not pushed back to where he was found by the breaking waves.
The SF Medical examine told the lead detective that it would be highly unlikely that 32 lbs would submerge the body. It would just float. He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots place either body where they were found.

@VideoFanatic02 There is no evidence. Many are under the impression there was this insurmountable amount of circumstantial evidence. The truth is, there wasn't. The media played a huge part relaying things were simply not true or accurate. Not entirely all theories fault. Police were responsible for leaking things that were false. It creates baseless theories, and widespread conjecture.
Examples....
The prosecutions theory hinged on Laci being dumped in the bay. Their own expert could not explain why Laci or Conner where found where they were. He couldn't produce any scientific data to prove the States theory.
Conner was alive well after the 24th.

He told dozens of people he was fishing including police. At around 6:11 pm, the first officer, Sergeant Evers, arrived on the scene after Laci was reported missing. When he asked Scott where he was that day, Scott immediately told him that he had been fishing that day in the bay. Scott also gave Sgt. Evers his receipt from the Berkeley Marina parking lot to show that he'd been at marina that day. Cell phone records and transactions confirm where he was.
-A timed receipt from the Berkeley Marina, for the time he said he was there. Three eye-witnesses that place him there when he said he was there--a gardener, and two fishermen. Cell phone records for multiple calls made from points near the Berkeley Marina, beginning at the time he said he left the Marina, and tracking him homeward.
"Harvey testified that he told his wife and multiple others that Scott told him that he'd gone golfing on December 24th . However, no one testified that Harvey had told them that. Harvey did not tell the police until June of 2003 that Scott told him that he'd been golfing, despite the fact that Harvey knew his wife had been told by Scott that he was fishing and the police were publicly trying to corroborate Scott's alibi for December 24th . Harvey Kemple also testified that he saw Scott lose his temper once and slam the lid to their barbeque. Scott and Laci's barbeque didn't have a lid. So one minute he's a genius and commits the perfect murder without leaving a shred of physical evidence anywhere, nobody sees or hears him committing this crime, but you believe he was leading people to think he was golfing.

The alleged distinctive circles that Brocchini said were on the trailer resembled rectangular shapes from cement bags from work he did at house in September. The pitcher the prosecution alleged Scott made the anchors in didn't even fit.

I highly doubt a 153 lb pregnant woman wrapped in a tarp wouldn't be spotted in all those searches. C'mon... they couldn't find a single alleged anchor because Brocchini made it up. The "distinctive circles" that Brocchini said were on the trailer resembled rectangular shapes from cement bags from work he did at house in September. The pitcher the prosecution alleged Scott made the anchors in didn't even fit.
Brocchini was destroyed on the stand for many of his lies. That was one of them.

He also said the currents would likely take the body out to sea. She was found nearly 4 months later. How do currents flowing Southbound at 4 knots place either body where they were found.
