@JanicePhillips I used to think that but there's zero reason for it. Like, don't microwave in plastic, but it's not going to change your food, and it's in a faraday cage.

There is nothing wrong with a microwave though. For example, for sweating a batch of onions or boiling a cup of water really fast.

@JanicePhillips there is nothing wrong with any of that and you are living a healthy life. But some artificial conveniences of the industrial revolution are perfectly harmless when used correctly. A microwave only wiggles molecules around with a big coil, it's not a problem as long as you don't do it in plastic. It's just associated with lazy TV dinners and uneven cooking and thus has a bad rep. But if you're say reheating a frozen stew or something, there is zero issue, it's just less stuff to clean and easier meal prep.
