  1. Why did they even use a company to register their domain? I saw people get a domain ransom'd because it was bundled with some hosting package (HostGator I think). Really, you can register a domain with a NIC directly usually! (I do this with ISNIC). A site like 8ch should not have relied on the good intention of a company.
