  1. It's not even about retardation. All major software is moving that way (and I don't like it either). We already know when Blender 3.0 and Blender 4.0 will be released even if 2.x lasted for 20 years. Linux as well is moving in that direction. I think they just feel really good for having a major version bump, they are no dunces.
