  2.  @V8King770  yeah, everyone has cameras. have you tried taking a picture of a plane? Or the moon? It looks quite large in the sky, but it's hard to take a photo without a telephoto lens in a DSLR.

  3. We could only get a clear picture of Pluto after we got really close to it. If you look at pictures of Pluto from before (not artist renderings) they were like 6 pixels wide. Even the artist renderings looked nothing like the current photos because the artists had to work off what scientists believed Pluto could look like. In other words, it's hard to take a photo of something really far away, especially with a thermal camera (look up the price of a consumer grade FLIR camera, and notice how low its resolution is).
