I also hate the "cold white" LEDs! These are usually 6500K, but there exist 4000K ones (warm is 3000K) which I use when I want "white" light. 6500K is depressing. By the way some smartphones (like mine) have a filter that removes the 60Hz/50Hz flicker (selectable). Dunno how it works, it can't be doing FFT filtering to the whole image in real-time at 4K, can it? Maybe it scans the sensor at just the right rate and adjusts brightness with a gradient overlay?

Paul Gascoigne that sounds gorgeous, never thought of looking for 2000K ones!

I have to mention some LEDs say the same temperature but they look different. In fact, the number is no science - if you look at them with a spectrum analyzer it's not one frequency but many. I say this because some 3000K LEDs are glorious but you can't know from a fact sheet. Easy way to see this is to go to a physical shop.
