  1. This weekend I realized the bottom-outsole of one of my RedWings has split and is tearing off. I was a bit upset at the thought of the cost to replace them until I remembered I bought them in the early ‘10s, maybe late ‘00s, and have worn them for every outdoor project, off path hike, and snow day since. Amortized that way, they cost me about $20 per year.
