  1. Can you please test drill bits? Run a 1/4” bit through 1” plank using calibrated pressure (20 lbs?) and measure time it takes to go completely through as a baseline of cutting ability. Then through 3/16” mild steel plate 10 times. Then through the 1” plank again. An increase in time to pierce indicates loss of cutting edge.
