For some time now, when something around the house that uses AA batteries runs down, I put the old batteries into a bag in my desk, and use them to run wireless mice and other devices I consider to be low-draw. Does this make sense? Is there a better household device to be the “last stop” for a battery before it goes into the recycle bin?
