  2. $225 is a lot to spend on a pair of boots but it’s waaaay less than a trip to the ER, multiple surgeries, lost wages, and a lifetime of knock-on complications from an altered gait. And if you’re independently employed, it’s likely you write them off your taxes as a necessary business expense.
