  1. During the evap test, instead of checking mass of the carafe and then adding 200g of oil, why not put the carafe on the scale, zero it, and then add 200g? That way when you measured after the hearing you’d always be subtracting from an even 200g, making the math a little faster.

  2. Idea: Take the quarter finalists, after they’ve been frozen, cooked and then refrozen. Put proper amount of each into a small engine. Run the engines for half an hour, then pull the drain plug and measure time to seizure. This would simulate how well each performs in event if a catastrophic lubrication failure.
