@horikyosuke4794 I disagree. Bismarck controls engagement range. Colorado’s 16” guns were rated to fire 1.5 times per minute, or one shot every 40 seconds. Knowing how battle conditions affect gun cycle times, her guns would probably fire one shell every 50 seconds, maybe only one per minute. The Mk5 shells weighed 2200lbs. Bismarck’s guns were rated to fire 2.5 times per minute, or one shot every ~25 seconds. In battle conditions, probably one shot every 40-50 seconds. The AP shells weighed 1800 lbs. If you math it out, Bismarck will fire a lot more AP kaboom per minute. Granted it is 15” against 16”, but I do not believe Colorado’s protection - designed for WW1 conditions - would stand against 15” shells as well as Bismarck’s would stand against 16” (Rodney hit her at least multiple dozens of times at stupid close range and did not meaningfully penetrate the citadel).
