  1. 53:00 What if North Carolina sank after being torpedoed, or even suffered enough damage to put it in drydock for a year, potentially right next to a Pearl Harbor survivor? The USN was already uneasy about the effectiveness of torpedo protection of their fast battleships, especially the Iowas, so could losing one of them, or even having it damaged badly enough to need a year of repair, cause the USN to rethink this entire group of ships?
