  2. Or for you 40 Acres and a Mule'ers: Special Field Order 15 proposed 40 acres and a mule for each slave FAMILY. Sherman's proposal, not a law. In 1865 an acre of land was $2, a mule $20. 100 1865 dollars equals $1800 today dollars . 4 million slaves at say 4 people per family. Supposing that every black American is a slave descendant. $1.8 billion dollars divided by 46 million descendants comes out to be... $39 per Black American for "40 Acres and a Mule Reparations". That's a lot better for them than owing 27 million each! Even though it's against my principals, if we could get the other 250 million white Americans to agree, I'd gladly pitch in my $7 just to see every Reparationist sit down and shut up.

  5. Growing up in the 80's, the gays owned all the antique stores downtown. Everyone used to say, "You never see a poor Queer." not in a derogatory way, but with solemn respect. After getting out in the larger world, I realize that was just a stereotype cause... nah, still never met a broke Queer.
