Yes! Delivery Stories!!
Tenth floor of a hotel, customer is waiting for like 35 cent change, which I didn't have on me. Gave him a dollar and said, "It's YOUR lucky night, I'M going to tip YOU."
Customer counts out exact change on a $100+ order. I look him in the eye and say, "Looks like the kids won't have any sausage in their WIC Beans tonight!" Joke probably went over his head.
Customer asked if she could pay with a Hot Check, I said, "as long as you're tipping good." Got a $2 tip. What's that supposed to mean? Is it good or not, Lady?
Delivery to a Gated Seaside Condo. Security tells you where to park and you have to walk from there. Customer stands at the door with her hand out waiting for 5 cents change. I look up every so often from fake searching in my bank bag to say, "I know I have a nickel in here somewhere." She's standing there, hand out, with 3 pennies that I've given her one at a time. When I was confident that the pizza was good and cold, I gave her the last 2 and said, "You have a good night, Mam."
For those of you not from The South, "Mam" can be used as a sincere term of Respect, or depending on the situation, can imply "Bitch". r/IAmTheA-Hole
Don't forget to tip your waitress folks.
