  6. It was 40 acres and a mule for Each Family not per person and your maths is all wrong. 400,000 acres at $10 an acre plus 10,000 mules at $20 each. An 1865 dollar is worth $19 today. Divided by 48,000,000 descendants. Comes out to be $1.67 per Black American.
