  13.  @karpabla  The history of GDP growth has never been high. The end of WW2 created unprecedented demand and an economic boom. A giant leap in population growth artificially extended this economic growth. Women entering the work force on mass was also a contributor. GDP growth has just returned to it's historic norm.

  19. Trying to manipulate or change the climate is absurd and futile. The goal as always, since humans began walking upright, should be to protect people from any adverse effects from climate. We require inexpensive reliable energy and wealth creation to achieve this.

  20. Price controls never work. If the government controls the price of rent then nobody can make any money renting housing. If they can't make money renting housing they stop investing in housing and stop building rental accommodations. Then there is no place for anybody to rent and and landlords stop maintaining the properties they currently own and they fall into ruin. Prices keep supply and demand in check. Price controls cause supply and demand to go unchecked. Price controls never work.
