@karpabla The history of GDP growth has never been high. The end of WW2 created unprecedented demand and an economic boom. A giant leap in population growth artificially extended this economic growth. Women entering the work force on mass was also a contributor. GDP growth has just returned to it's historic norm.

@RobertWilkins-un6xb Debt is always measured against GDP. If I have $10,000 in the bank and a $1,000 debt it's exactly the same as if I had a million dollars in the bank and a $100,000 debt. Even thought my debt is 10 times higher, it's all relative.

@RobertWilkins-un6xb I'm not advocating deficits or growing debt. I'm simply putting it in perspective. None of this is evidence that the US is going to "collapse". It's hyperbolic nonsense.
