  2. Price controls never work. If the government controls the price of rent then nobody can make any money renting housing. If they can't make money renting housing they stop investing in housing and stop building rental accommodations. Then there is no place for anybody to rent and and landlords stop maintaining the properties they currently own and they fall into ruin. Prices keep supply and demand in check. Price controls cause supply and demand to go unchecked. Price controls never work.

Nowhere have you demonstrated that it has failed. Regardless of where you live there are undoubtedly countless thousands of operating businesses in your neighborhood alone. All embracing the free market and thriving. All competing with each other. This exists across the entire planet. Are they all manipulating the market? Billions and billions of entrepreneurs and investors all manipulating things? Get real. Your claim is that there are evil people in the world therefore capitalism fails. Absurd. We have bank robbers, so I guess banks just don't work. Ridiculous.
