@edgarjungle7552 not just afghanistan . pakistan and india too. The demographics of the original india which was part of (afghanistan+ pakistan+ india+ bangaldesh+ nepal).aroun 15-20 percent population. Was buddhist but now nothing remains just because of muslims

Always do remember the guys who gave buddha and all hindu gods a face were the indo greeks who lived in modern day Afghanistan bwfore that they represented by symbols or signs . The gandhara kingdom ( modern day eastern afghanistan and north western pakistan ) was the one who gave buddhism to china and hence the entire east asia sadly not even 1 percent of the rich civilization what once existed here remains .everything is lost!!. @punisher6 it was just an awesome fusion the indo greeks used to carve buddha and hercules as his bodygaurd 😅😅. It was a beutiful synthesis of two of the greatest cultures of the ancient world( india and greece) which inhabited afghanistan from around 200 bce to untill islam conquered and destroyed everything😞

@grandmaster1294 no thats completely wrong 😂 😂.Buddhism was initially a minority, then started becoming a majority religion but after adi sankracharya came in it lost philosophical debates and again became a minority and then remained stable at 15-20 percent untill it was eradicated by islam from its own motherland.

@punisher6 from there ancestors greeks of course, they made beautiful statues of the greek gods hence they merged this art with the indian art which led to this .

Haris P desert dwellers didnt manage to conquer india( india+pakistan+eastern Afghanistan), after conquering evrything from spain to iran within 50 yrs . the muslims eyed on india they tried from 7th cemtury untill the 11th century and were crushed in the most brutal way possible(the war without result was costly for Muslims that it led to the deatruction of the arab caliphate itself) 😂 . in the 10th century islam conquered central asia and the barabaric turkics were now followers of islam. These guys fought with no ethics and remorse whatsoever, they took gunpowder from china and only then could they defeat us.

Haris P what kind of a mindset is this ? 😂 mughals took india from the delhi sultunates and i have already accepted above that the turkic people were sucessful in invading india but the main thing is you arent even a turk i am pretty sure about that ur a wannabe turk who is the product of there invasions and is indian by blood

@yudeesaetang7468 how is it not related with the islamic invasions all the writings which were written in pali and sanskrit were destroyed, buddhism was almost exterminated from its motherland . after that Evrything was transferred to tibet and china where these texts survived . during the cultural Revolution majority of those texts got destroyed too.
