its extremely upsetting that he speaks in hindi in all international forums, he should speak in gujrati or english (if he is comfortable)

@Yahiko Ame france is french , japan is japanese, russia is dominated by russian slavs and china is dominated by han chinese . i dont think india resembles these countries in anyway . if u think hindi is the official language of india pls change ur mindset

@Zhang Wei no india has 22 official languages with english serving as the connecting language between all ethnic groups that together form india

@Yahiko Ame ya the day modi says this with his own mouth that day south india is gonna separate from north india .we have got a beautiful country here i request you to maintain the balance and respect each ethnic group has towards each other .make sure that in your quest of declaring hindi as the national langauge u dont end up dividing india . even bjp ruled states like karnataka are against hindi .

@Zhang Wei english is colonial ur right but today english in india belongs to no one hence it acts as a neutral party . hindi isnt acceptable to non hindi speaking indians because first and foremost the south indian langauges are from a completely different language family known as the dravidian languages and secondly hindi is a useless language which has no utimity also it has no much of an history , its relatively a very new language

@RoyalpandaG ya i completely agree , thats what i am sayng if u want hini to become official , we can select a tri lingual formula for india. every literate indian citizen must know hindi,english and a language from the south(malayalam,tamil ,kannada or telugu)

@RoyalpandaG well thats the case again tamil and sanskrit are supposed to be treated equally because both are like the founding languages of india(with tamil being the older one) , although unlike hindi every southern state except tamil nadu will accept sanskrit as a national language .moreover it seems literally impossible to revive sanskrit

@RoyalpandaG i would love to see such a beautiful language to revive but sadly i dont think its possible. Jews were able to do it because they are homogenous but we are as much diverse as it gets
