  1. Ahom became hindu because the people they ruled absolute majority of them were assamese who were hindu. Just like how the mongol yuan dynasty became buddhist after taking over china.. You r bound to assimilate with the natives within a few centuries if u rule them unless ur from an abrahamic religion..
