He is from the " SCINDIA royal dynasty of gwalior' and scindias r nothing but MARATHAS who brokeaway from the bigger maratha empire and founded their own kingdom in gwalior. They r actually SHINDE but the british called them SCINDIA hence scindia became the common name..
