Average "starter home" is a million Canadian. 800k will buy you a home in the outskirts where no one wants to go or a tiny condo in the city. Jobs are hard to find and if you do it starts you at $18. Most are with families until the bitter end or move out and will share a apartment downtown for $1500 with a friend or stranger and struggle. If youre solo..well good luck

@Mr.Winterz Hey! weekend uber work is that is required..simple. I feel your pain. Working our hands to the bones to make rent and barely have enough to enjoy the weekends. The more we make here the more gets deducted. Endless game and a winless game at that. I know people here in toronto who have moved here from another province for a better life end up sharing a apartment with someone. Zero freedom. You cant bring anyone over because the apt is so tiny already and not to mention these people are working over 40 hrs a week at a regular job then on weekends are pulling more hrs at another part time job...fun!
