  3. @EPL_Futures  I mostly didn't feed my family processed stuff. I am gluten intolerant, so I make most of my food from scratch. I do but pre-made bread. I just could never feed my family by shooting all " organic" from whole foods. I rely on Walmart, Sam's, the Asian food store, and Aldi. Growing more food would be ideal, but I can't even win with tomatoes.

  4. It came up and they went a different direction/changedthe subject. Others in the comments made it sound positive. I don't know a lot about it, but if Hollywood is any indication, the stuff is awful.

  6. If you are a family of 7 and "eating clean" means that it's labeled "organic" and sold at Whole Foods, it absolutely is too expensive.

  29. I tried (seriously tried!) keto for 3 months, and all I did was gain weight. Everyone tells you different things or wants you to pay money for info. It's way too hard and way too difficult to know if you're in ketosis or knock yourself out of ketosis.

  43. @EPL_Futures  The debate was whether eating healthily was affordable. I was defining terms, specifying whether healthy meant organic from Whole Foods, which I think is what is meant. It's easy to afford to eat that way for 1 or 2 people. It's impossible with 7 on under 80K per year unless we're eating organic rice and beans.
