  3. Why is this there such an obsession with alleged wage gap? My husband and I were discussing this. Everyone has pay gaps with everyone. My husband is an RN. Very few people, male or female, regardless of color, make the same pay in the entire hospital. It depends on experience, job description, years at the organization, great annual reviews that yield raises, etc. I don't think any two nurses in the icu make the same amount. Additionally, travel nurses make way more than regular staff. Is any of this "fair" and equitable. Yes and no. The underlying assertion or philosophy stemming from the loud feminists is marxism/socialism. It's a system/philosophy that has never worked, and will never work in this world. It always ends up everyone from physicians to janitors make the same very low wage with no means of advancement. All the highest governmental officials live like Kings. It's never benevolent to the people.

They may have overlapping abilities such as art or cooking or math or science, but as ,they have unique roles. Mothers should sacrifice for children by laying aside their other ambitions and gifting for a season. And men sacrifice by not being lazy or always golfing or video gaming to provide for and train their children. Selfishness and vain ambitions and pursuits should take a backseat for a season for the benefit of children.

  8. @commonsense126  No, I'm just saying that gifting doesn't matter, whether you are a lifted knitter or gifted calligraphy or lifted scientist, that doesn't mean it's mandatory that from 20 to 65 you must use that gift in the marketplace. My belief is that women should choose stay home at least part-time while raising their children. It doesn't make logical sense to want children but not prioritize raising them.

  12. I've heard too, that children tend to follow their father's religious beliefs over their mother's. I see men as vision casters. They help frame reality, philosophy, and spiritual beliefs or lack of them.

Were not jyst here as parents to be NOT boring and entertain them anyway. We're here to literally frame reality for them about life, God, marriage, communication, networking, employment, family, generations, sports, hunting, fishing, farming, whatever life skills you have.

  26. We had 5 children. First one came after 17 months. At about the 6 week point, I was at the fatigue point where many women are so tired that they are delirious and literally bumping into door frames. I'd had a 4th degree episiotomy, breast engorgement, and started into diarrhea due to the onset of celiac disease triggered by stress. I also had almost zero support from other women. You are also instructed by the OB to abstain from sex for 6 weeks after giving birth. My husband finally expressed jealousy of the baby. My husband went from the newly wed phase of getting all my attention to me being entirely wrapped up in the baby and trying to cope with my physical challenges. All this to say, it's hard for men to feel forgotten after you give birth. Also, most men don't get into babies the way women do. They really struggle with a crying baby in a way that most women don't. Women typically empathize with baby and want to comfort it. Men can't handle the pitch of the crying and just want it to shut up. Which puts stress on the Mom because sometimes babies are inconsolable. Anyway, men love the throw them in the air, tickle, rough house phase. My husband also enjoyed when my son was 2 and they would trot down to the river with his fake fishing pole with a rubber fish to catch a "big 'un". It does get better. It does take time.

My second born had some birth issues/cognitive issues which I didn't understand and we got into this Ciercive cycle that is hard to break out of and yoy end up creating an Oppositional Defiant child with symptoms similar to Reactive Attachment Disorder that orphans have. You were clearly affected by your wife's domineering coercive behavior. That's a bummer.

  36. I think single mothers aren't balanced out and supported by a man so they flip out under stress. I struggled with being even- keeled even with a stable good husband. Women need mentoring and support from older, wiser women and the balancing effect of a man in the house.

  49. Preface: I live this topic. It is so important. Caveat is that it's great when age talks about actual humans and not great when she talks about evolution. But she's an academic and evolution has locked up the biological sciences. First 6 minutes. Evolution is so tedious. There is no proof that a million years ago baby's heads were getting too big and the babies were dying off. At least not humans. There is no proof we should be pregnant 18 months. She finally states a true and provable fact: we are one of the only "mammals" that father and raise our young long term. This is because we are not in fact mammals or apes. We are made in the image of God by design to parent our childrenforr approx 18 year, which animals don't do. Mothers consistently give birth at 36 to 42 weeks unless they have preterm labor. Cephalo Pelvic disproportion happens, I believe, for 2 obvious reasons: 1. Excessive nutrition. We eat healthily in many cases, but we are just over the top in our food consumption. Because of this, women are consistently having 9 to 10 lb babies (or heavier!). In the 50s and 60s, women consistently had 5 to 6lb babies. In the 70s and 80s, women consistently had 7 to 8 lb babies. And now we giving birth to toddlers. This isn't because of millions of years of evolution. We're just gluttonous. 2. It's a function of genetics. If you are a 5 ft 2 women from a small in stature family and you marry a 6 ft 7 linebacker male with a large in stature family you will have an issue giving birth to that man's child. Evolution is such nonsense. Go read Darwin's Black Box and other Intelligent Design books about irreducible complexity. Read Genesis, too. *She gave no evidence for any of thus because it's impossible other than fossils to know what happened millions of years ago. Further, this cephalo oelvic disproportion she's claiming happened, happened to some for of primates, not humans made in the image of God with Souls and Spirits

  55. Millennials have gone way overboard with the women practically joined at rhe hip with their children because of family bed and attachment parenting. If there's a line to cross into codependency with your children, they've found it. And they exclude fathers. The breastfeeding isn't the problem unless they are demand feeding 24 hours a day. I schedule fed and it's only every 3 to 4 hours and when practiced from birth, they naturally set their body clocks and sleep through at 6 weeks aporox. Then men can be remembered and sex can resume.
