@nolongereatsshit a myth by who? I don’t think anyone thinks this. It’s a bomb after all. Now it’s 100% not a myth that the extra fuel was not intended for the return home. If that’s what you’re implying you are wrong. Extra fuel was designed to inflict damage. The kamikaze manual makes mention of weather too. But the idea is you life to fight another mission ultimately the point is sacrifice your life and aircraft. So just bc it wasn’t specifically fueled for “one way” which is silly bc it’s hunting for targets doesn’t mean also that the plane was purposefully designed to hold enough fuel for a return flight. It might have been able to return but again not by design.
