  1. Who wrote this? Why did they have them act so confused about the bronze finial? And why was Donati not even brought up? I figured they’d love talking about this given for years and years we’ve known of the pseudo mob-man and driver’s connection to the crime. It was verified donati specifically had an affinity for the eagle. The Patriarca mob family wasn’t even mentioned once. Sometimes I literally don’t get this show. It creates amazing things but with all the resources I feel research is the most neglected when this episode could have been so much more and you wouldn’t even need to be speculating too much. It wasn’t some master plan lol the museum was incredibly lazy. The most famous Boston art thief of the time did jobs with Donati it’s been verified and they cased the museum for over a decade. He ultimately didn’t partake but remained convinced Bobby Donati did. The police verified from certain angles you could indeed see directly into different parts of the security areas from outside consistent with the intel given. You also bring up the point of what do you do with stolen art. I’ve done a considerable amount of research on a different heist and mov activity for a book and one major way art is used is for collateral. It’s your quintessential “gold Standard”. Your non hard cash security that is still highly valuable physical goods whether that be to front a large drug shipment, secure a loan, etc etc. art is not just culture for a criminal organization - it’s a way to do business.
