There’s plenty of precedent to prove that leaving $1 out of spite is far more likely to be challenged as opposed to nothing given your immediate family isn’t understood to be easily forgotten and extended family have no direct, reasonable claim. They “could” in theory challenge anything but leaving $1 actually could be motive to showcase a vendetta of spite which allows for a bonafide reassessment or even a challenge to state of mind. If you say they get nothing it’s an objective, factual claim without any obvious motive or games being played which is usually very unsuccessful when challenged legally.
